Criticism Containing Books Die Känguru-Chroniken. Ansichten eines vorlauten Beuteltiers (Die Känguru-Chroniken #1)

Fun, light read. As an American living in Berlin, the local references were enjoyable and, especially during COVID-19 lockdown, reminded me of what I love about this city. A bit predictable but still several laugh out loud moments.

The high rating must be attributed to the audiobook and the comic relief it provided in current times of crisis. I have avoided reading the book for a long time and I don't think I would have enjoyed reading it as much as I did listening to it.

I love this series and it was the perfect audiobook to listen to while lying in bed sick. The constant laughter wasn't good for my cough, but then you can't have everything. I love the Kangaroo and its politics, and they seem more and more relevant the more the world is going to shit. Nazis Boxen is more and more necessary, and it's nice to be able to laugh about politics for a change.

Absolutely hilarious! I was shaking with laughter. Definitely invest in the audio book version! It is totally worth it.

This book is an easy read and reasonably entertaining. It mixes humour with mild left-wing social criticism, together with some ironic self-reflection. It is a classical case of "animal humour", which is funny because placing an animal in these situations is so absurd, but would not be very funny if the same thing happened to a human being.
