Party Princess (The Princess Diaries #7)
This one actually made me laugh a couple of times, so it was definitely better than book 5 & 6.
We the readers finally get to meet... *drumroll please*... the guy who hates it when they put corn in the chili! The most exciting thing to have ever happened in this series. His name is JP and he's a fantastic addition to the crew. We even get a grand musical production of Grandmother's doing. Lots of hilarity, but I still can't stand how Mia overthinks and whines about everything. But that's a 15-year-old girl for you.

Definitely my least favourite of the series so far. I just felt like it was kinda pointless tbh
Another fun book in the series. Each book builds on the character and growth of Mia, her relationships with her boyfriend, family, friends. In this one, Mia begins to have a better understanding of how she wants to behave and choices she wants to make. The production of a play in a week seems impossible, but with her grandmother in charge, you can imagine she would make it happen. I do love Mia's voice, still both funny and touching, feels authentic. The one thing I have had and continue to have
4.5 stars! Flying through these last few books so I can read A Royal Wedding! It's just sitting on my nightstand STARING at me! This is also the first book I've finished for the #TBRTakedown Readathon! 288 pages read so far!
i had to skip number 6 because i couldnt find it in the store and reading this ruined everything for me! it was amazing and really funny like all her books and had many new surprises but what i dont like it that her books seem really childish and arent very original in many ways like how they lost all the money - wait was that this book or the next one?

Commentary During Books Party Princess (The Princess Diaries #7)
Princess just want to have fun . . . And Mia does too, despite the fact that the student government over which she presides is suddenly broke. But Grandmere's got a wacky scheme to raise the money, catapult Mia to theatrical fame, and link her romantically with an eligible teen bachelor who's not her boyfriend. No wonder Michael seems to think she's a psycho, or worse: not much fun. Is it possible that Mia, soon-to-be star of the stage, president of the student body, and future ruler of Genovia, doesn't know how to party?Describe Books Conducive To Party Princess (The Princess Diaries #7)

Actual rating 3.5 stars---------I'm not in love with this book but it was still good. I want more substance and less superficial. I did like the addition of our newest character though. I realize these are supposed to be light and fluffy and fun, which they are, but I want to see Mia growing and maturing as she gets older, which hasn't happened thus far. Will be jumping into book 8 soon! This one actually made me laugh a couple of times, so it was definitely better than book 5 & 6.
