I read this book for two reasons: I needed to get my book count up for the reading challenge, and reading We Need To Talk About Kevin immediately after No Country For Old Men was too much darkness, even for me. I picked this up from son's shelf, because I had enjoyed the first book: my son was flabbergasted, and my wife made fun of me, saying she'd give me Peter Pan next. But I am glad I did pick it up, however.Greg Heffley is a loser: bullied by his elder brother and followed about by his

Anyone who has a sibling or siblings could relate to Greg in this 2nd installment. Aside from Manny, Rodrick is one of my favorite character in this series. Rodrick could be a little pain in the ass for Greg but behind his facade, he cares and love for his younger brothers even though he just doesn't want to admit it.
Diary of a Wimpy Kid by Jeff Kinney is an exciting and hilarious journey of Greg Heffley. In Rodrick Rules, Jeff Kinney focuses on the relationship of Greg and his brothers, Rodrick and Manny. Rodrick is older than Greg, and is much more 'corrupt'. He manipulates his father into doing his homework and other selfish acts. Rodrick soon gets caught and gets punished. Manny on the other hand, never gets caught doing bad things. Greg hates Manny for many reasons, one being manny gets away with
Rodrick Rules (Diary of a Wimpy Kid, #2), Jeff Kinney Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules, is a children's novel by American author and cartoonist Jeff Kinney. It is the sequel to Diary of a Wimpy Kid, followed by The Last Straw. Rodrick Rules, was released on February 1, 2008. At the start of the book, Greg explains how bad his summer vacation was in which after being signed up with the swim team without his consent, he had to deal with practice at 7:00 AM, being the worst swimmer on the team
Greg Heffley, middle-school survivor, is having an interesting year once again! His mom bought him another 'journal' (don't say diary!), and as usual, the clever plots to trick his teachers, parents and his best friend Rowley do not entirely succeed. The delightful and funny illustrations fully explain what Greg hesitates to write down. However, it is his brother Rodrick who really makes Greg angry. The only good thing about having an older brother like Rodrick is he is a terrific source of evil
