I originally read The Apothecary's Daughter back in 2009. At that time, I only gave it ★★★ and have always said that it was my least favorite of Julie Klassen's earlier novels. I don't know what I was thinking.Since I didn't remember much about the book, I decided to reread it - and glad I am that I did.
