Zane's story, Mackenzie's Pleasure, had a little more meat (and heat!) to it than Chance's story, A Game Of Chance, so I rate MP a 4* and AGoC really a weak 3*. I wanted so much more in Chance's story, but really the beginning of MP was as much about Chance as about Zane, so I was really glad they were packaged together in this volume. Both stories had very strong heroines, which packed a stronger punch because in both cases the Mackenzie brothers expected spoiled, weak, whiny women. But, for me, the female who took the spotlight in both stories was Nick in her 'pwetty dwess', wanting to be old enough to ride on 'Unca Dance's moborcycle'.

Mackenzie's Pleasure:Can I just say that I am amazed how well this story was written and understandable. I have read a lot of books where its containing of a family series and it's gets so beyond confusing if you hadn't read the previous ones. The prologue summed up everything perfectly and actually made me so happy for all the characters I haven't even got to know yet from their own books. I have also read plenty of books dealing with military and with all the jargon it becomes confusing. ThisTwo stories in one. Zane rescues Barrie from the kidnapper her ambassador father couldn't protect her from. Falling in love and having a baby was just a bonus.Chance plans a set up for a terrorist using his daughter for bait. Plans change when he falls for Sunny.
Good writer for sure. I liked the story line and the action, imagination of the author kept me intrigued.
