Explanation During Books The Mistress (The Original Sinners #4)
The final book in The Original Sinners Series - The Red Years. There's punishment-and then there's vengeance.
Nora Sutherlin is being held, bound and naked. Under different circumstances, she would enjoy the situation immensely, but her captor isn't interested in play. Or pity.
As the reality of her impending peril unfolds, Nora becomes Scheherazade, buying each hour of her life with stories-sensual tales of Søren, Kingsley and Wesley, each of whom has tempted and tested and tortured her in his own way. This, Nora realizes, is her life: nothing so simple, so vanilla, as a mere love triangle for her. It's a knot in a silken cord, a tangled mass of longings of the body and the heart and the mind. And it may unravel at any moment.
But in Nora's world, no one is ever truly powerless-a cadre of her friends, protectors and lovers stands ready to do anything to save her, even when the only certainty seems to be sacrifice and heartbreak....

***5 CHECKMATE Stars*** Chess is a beautiful Mistress As a lover and player of chess I thought Ms. Reisz did a brilliant job with her chess metaphors. I spent a lot of time thinking about each chess move and the players! The story picks up right where The Prince left us hanging. We know Nora's been kidnapped by Marie-Laure. "I gave them my death as a gift...and now I'm taking my gift back." All of our favorite characters from the three previous books return along with one character from a** 5 +++ "checkmate" STARS** "Don't be afraid," he whispered against her lips. "This life is nothing but one blink of God's eyes. He'll blink again, and we'll be back together." I've been avoiding this moment for the last 3 days. Why? Because I still get teary-eyed every time I start thinking about this series. Because I am still haunted by the story, the characters, the message of love in these books. Because I am still a mess over how everything turned out at the end. Happy, but still
5 "Infinite" StarsI'm on an "Original Sinners" high at the moment and I don't want to come down for a while. There are times when you read a book or a series that affects you in a deep and emotional level and you are forever changed. To read words that evoke all your emotions, good- bad-kinky-vanilla-erotic-sensual-love-sorrow-despair-fear-sadness-happiness-piety you will forever remember that book or that series and folks, if you what that moment, look no further than The Original Sinners

Full review posted 03.08.2013.* * * This book was beautiful, sad, sweet, scary, mysterious, heartbreaking, kinky, happy, intense and all kinds of orgasmic. Ginormous 5 stars from me :-D.* * *Dear Lord, Tiffany Reisz outdid herself this time. This is my favorite book in these series so far. If you haven't read at least the first book in the series, do not read further. In her previous books there were characters I liked and characters I loved, in this one, I fell head over heals with ALL of
I threw up.I finished The mistress and I threw up.Not metaphorically. Not a tiny bit. I literally lost my whole lunch.Maybe it was food poisoning. Maybe it was just a weird day and I was tired. Maybe, could be, why notbut deep in my heart I know it was the stress. The wrongness. The tight feeling that followed me trough the whole book escalated and brought me down. There was no tears. Just raw pain. So I find it fitting, and almost poetic when you consider what the basis of the Sinner series
- July 2 edit - This is the review I've been dreading to write for weeks. I think writing my college thesis was less nerve-wracking. It's not because I fear tomatoes being thrown my way (look, I gave it 5 stars) but rather, I worry that I wouldn't be able to express my thoughts coherently without breaking down into a sobbing mess. The Mistress picks up immediately where The Prince left off. Nora is held captive by an enemy who wants to play games. (view spoiler)[ And in case you're wondering
