The Matrix meets Interview with the Vampire in this sexy gothic thriller about two beautiful witch sisters and the love triangle that consumes the information thief who is drawn into their intrigues.Season of the Witch tells the story of Gabriel Blackstone: hacker, information thief, and skilled “remote viewer.” Asked by a former lover to investigate the disappearance of her stepson, Gabriel’s suspicions fall on Minnaloushe and Morrighan Monk, two beautiful sisters who live in a rambling Victorian house in London. Independently wealthy, the sisters spend their time dabbling in alchemy and the ancient Art of Memory—invented by the Greeks and used by alchemists and magi such as Giordano Bruno and Leonardo Da Vinci. The sisters are white, or “solar,” witches, who aim to use alchemy not to turn lead into gold but to attain ultimate knowledge and therefore ultimate power. Gabriel soon becomes convinced that his client’s son had been murdered and that one of the women is the killer. But which one?
As Gabriel infiltrates the world of the sisters, he finds himself drawn inexorably deeper— becoming entranced even as he realizes that he is in mortal danger. When he is caught snooping, Gabriel must race to unlock their secrets before they can retaliate. To save himself— and the one he loves, presuming she is not guilty—Gabriel will have to fight one of the sisters within the landscape of her own mind.

Did not finish; do not resuscitate. It pains me to abandon a book, but the pace is way to slow, even for the interesting concept I was once-fascinated by. I stopped on page 76. It's taking way too long to get to the sisters and I have about 300+ books vying for my attention.I RARELY abandon books and this is killing me right now. But it would be far worse to spend time on this than it would be to deny attention to a book that can keep my focus.I'm in no way discrediting the author- it'sTwo sisters with remarkable abilities who se almost other worldly ensnare the man tasked to investigate them. He falls so hard under their spell that he almost forgets what he was sent to do. This was an unusual story that captivated me the further along I got.
Wow, this book is really good amazing! Of course, I rated it a 5 star. Hmm...I would definitely recommend this book to...:Age(s):-13/14-Older...or for those who are genre-picky...!Genres:-Thriller-Romance-Magic -Alchemy-MysteryThere are some "sexual" things in it, but seriously guys, don't laugh about it. It takes place in modern England, where Gabriel Blackstone (the main character)is a remote viewer (RV) that can see through people's mind psychically, that needs to solve the murder case of

This book cleverly combines fact with fiction to create an enthralling adventure of the heart and mind.Gabriel Blackstone once worked for Eyestorm, (a fictional British version of the real secret STARGATE project in America) where people with psychic talents were used to track down missing persons until he made a terrible mistake. All that is behind him now and he works as a hacker, a lucrative and exciting job that gives him the lifestyle he longed for as a child. When a former lover from his
Season of the Witch by Natasha Mostert definitely weaved its spell, making for a very intriguing and fascinating read. Contrary to its title, this book is not your typical story of witches and witchcraft. The book is a mixture of the mystical/arcane with technology, science fiction and history. This unique blend creates its own brand of magic thats different yet compelling. One of the things that stood out for me about this book was the writing. I thought Mostert did a great job of mixing
This is an amazing book. I reread it after I finished it. It is a suspense novel, revolving around alchemy, magic, remote viewing, mystery and romance. It tells the story of Gabriel Blackstone, an information thief who steals data by hacking the computers of big companies. He is also a remote viewer and is able to enter the minds of others. He is asked by a former girlfriend, Cecily Frank, to find her missing stepson, last seen in the company of Morrighan and Minnaloushe Monk. Gabriel starts
I received this book through Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. I was told the Season of the Witch was much better than the last Mostert I read which was The Midnight Side, but I don't think I liked this one as much. We start with Gabriel who, since losing his one actual love, has become a loner hacker who uses up and tosses women without thought. After pride tragically ends his former career, he turns to stealing information as his day job. When his love returns to his life she has a
