5 starsI promise someday to read a book that is not from this series. (Today is not that day.) Apologies to all of my Goodreads friends for just endlessly blasting these stories in your feed. I cant stop reading them. This one was also great. Lodestar is the fifth book in Sophie Foster's adventures in the Keeper of the Lost Cities series, and in my opinion it just keeps upping the ante. At this point, I'm honestly in awe of Shannon Messenger's relentless imagination. What can possibly happen

Counting the days until I can read this book and enjoy it! UPDATE: 11/9/2017Agh! I'm afraid that cliff hanger will always leave me hanging! XD A truly masterful Read and one which I think is my favorite from the series. Reread: 1/6/18 Hey, all the cool kids are sleeping with stuffed animals these days. Once again, Shannon Messenger has left me staring at the cover of her book, astonished. One surprise after another. That's what Lodestar was about. Not one character in this book hasn't changed in some way. I'm beginning to enjoy Linh's quiet personality, but Tam reminds me a bit too much of Keefe. And...I'm not a huge fan of Keefe. Especially now. As for Fitz, I never cared too much about him- until now, where

OMG!!!!!!*SPOILER ALERT! do not read on if you haven't finished the book!*!!!!!! !!!!!!Anyway, this book is one of the best books in the world! And that's saying a lot! In the end the cliff hanger is so tense! It ends with Sophie's little human sister saying, "Sophie?" And then it ends.
