Twelve years ago, Eve Dallas was just a rookie NY cop when her instincts led her to the apartment of Isaac McQueen, a man she discovered to be a sick murderer and pedophile, who was keeping young girls in cages. Now a homicide Lieutenant, Eve is one of the most distinguished officers in the city—and then she learns that McQueen has escaped from jail. Bent on revenge against Eve and with a need to punish more "bad girls" McQueen heads to Dallas, Texas—the place where Eve was found as a child, the place where she killed her own abusive monster when she was only eight years old. With Eve and Roarke in pursuit of McQueen, everything is on the line and secrets from Eve's past are about to be shockingly revealed.

Assessment Containing Books New York to Dallas (In Death #33)
New York to Dallas4.5 StarsA killer from Eve's days as a rookie escapes from prison and challenges her to a game of Cat and Mouse in the city that haunts her nightmares - Dallas, Texas. Another excellent addition to the series as Eve comes face to face with the most traumatic experiences of her childhood, and is pushed to the limits of her physical and mental endurance. Balancing out her pursuit of one of the more depraved and malicious villains in the books thus far, are moments of love and

This was most defiantly one of the best but gruesome detective books that i have ever read in my life! I loved the plot and the characters and at then end the story had me on my knees begging for more. This book is number 33 in the In Death Series but i honestly did not care i have read about three books in the series but never have i read them in the order they should be in. Not that it madders because each book is just a diffrent case to be solved. New York to Dallas is an open and shut case

I'm still mulling over my thoughts about this book. I enjoyed it, as I often enjoy these books, but one thought that I can't shake, now that I'm done, is the idea that this series is going to have to draw to a conclusion now. A lot of the large, overarching story threads that have been interwoven are being given answers, and I feel that, as far as the interpersonal/relationship conflicts go, not just with Eve and Roarke, but the secondary characters as well, that these have all been pretty well

(FIRST READ Book #33) Because all the books contain three genres successfully mashed into a single story. Every book, from Naked in Death to the very latest, is a police procedural, and a pretty cozy one at that. A crime is committed, usually a murder. Eve Dallas, a homicide cop, and her team eventually solve the crime. Eve uses the policies and procedures that cops use. She investigates the crime. She follows the law. She interviews witnesses. Forensic evidence is collected and examined. This

#book33 and it was so fucking good!!! I'm moving into the next one. ;)J.D.Robb, you're bloody amazing. Please, please keep writing this series. I don't even care if there are 200 books! I'd still gladly read them all... <3 I just love Eve & Roarke soooooo much! I'll never get tired of this series. :) He loves me. Roarke, I mean. He loves me.Oh, so very much.Nobody did before. Before Mavis, she just wouldnt give up and leave me alone. And Feeney. But hed feel weird saying the whole love

If I could give it 10 stars I would. I LOVED EVERY FUCKING MINUTE OF THIS BOOK!!Every word.Every moment. Every tear. One of the best in the series. I just love Eve. ❤

New York to Dallas stands out in this great series as being just a bit different and not only for its title. Eve has struggled with her demons many times before but in this book she takes them on in a whole new way and comes very close to the edge on several occasions. And each time she is pulled back by Roarke - of course! There is a lot of heavy drama and a definite requirement for a box of tissues somewhere handy. Roarke and Eve discuss their relationship many times and things get very
